EnGIS Technologies announced acquisition of a telematics expert, CUROS

Seoul, September 04, 2018 A global connected car software provider EnGIS Technologies announced its acquisition of CUROS, a telematics expert based in Korea. EnGIS had received all necessary regulatory consents related to the deal and expects to complete the transaction by the end of September 2018.

Since 2015 CUROS (http://www.curos.co.kr/ ) has partnered with LG Electronics, one of global leading automotive Tier 1s to develop telematics software and cloud based ICT services for Volkswagen, GM and Geely. “We’re pleased to close this transaction in that the technical capabilities and deep knowledge that CUROS have will help deliver core competencies of automotive telematics, which will drive V2X communication with the coming of 5G,” said Gregory, a CEO of EnGIS Technologies.      Electronic Horizon is a core building block of highly automated driving enabling Advanced Driver Assistant System. EnGIS integrates the HD map or ADAS map as a principal data source to provides more detailed view of the road ahead and enhances driving safety as built-in sensors only can sense within relatively short range.
